The Round Mountain Knights came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Beatty, posting a 70-24 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Round Mountain has managed all season.
Keiran Swafford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 46 points and 2 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Round Mountain's points. Another player making a difference was Blake Bullington, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.
Round Mountain pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Beatty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
Round Mountain will be playing at home against Spring Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Spring Mountain will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Round Mountain surely won't give up without a fight. Beatty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
