Bella Trejo was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over 7.1 innings while giving up six earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Yosselyn Figueroa was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Destiny Rodriguez, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
