LBJ Austin has gone a perfect 4-0 against Fredericksburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Billies at 7:30 p.m. LBJ Austin is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
It was a proper cat-fight when LBJ Austin faced off against Eastside Early College on Thursday. The Jaguars blew past the Panthers 58-6. Considering the Jaguars have won seven games by more than 32 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

LBJ Austin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marquis Murry II, who rushed for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Murry II's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Jayelen House was another key signal caller, throwing for 233 yards and five TDs while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 62 points the game before, Fredericksburg was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 17-10 to Somerset. While losing is never fun, the Billies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 647th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 298th).
LBJ Austin will have to contain Aaron Cantu as he made an impact in Fredericksburg's last game. He rushed for 85 yards, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one score.
Fredericksburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ruger Tekulve and Yair Hernandez. With that strong performance, Tekulve is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Jaren Quay was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
LBJ Austin's record is now 8-2. As for Fredericksburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Murry II and Cantu. Murry II just won't slow down this season and has run in 19 touchdowns while averaging 128.8 rushing yards per game. Cantu has been a dominant force too and has averaged 83.1 rushing yards per game.
