West Elk is 3-0 against Neodesha since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Elk Patriots will face off against the Neodesha Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Neodesha took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on West Elk, who comes in off a win.
West Elk had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Oswego as West Elk made off with a 53-29 win.
West Elk's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Uriah Tillapaugh, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddex Moreno, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Neodesha couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Fredonia on Friday. Neodesha has struggled against Fredonia recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
West Elk's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Neodesha, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
West Elk didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Neodesha in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory.
