If the Minuteman Regional Minuteman were riding high off their 64-41 takedown of the Notre Dame Cristo Rey Panthers last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Minuteman Regional fell 60-52 to Northeast Metro RVT on Wednesday. It was the first time this season that Minuteman Regional let down their fans at home.
It was another big night for Chris Zullo, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals for Northeast Metro RVT. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zullo has scored all season. Richard Cardoso was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Minuteman Regional's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Northeast Metro RVT, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Minuteman Regional will head out on the road to take on Nashoba Valley Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nashoba Valley Tech is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Academy of Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m.
