Everything went their way against Northport as Half Hollow Hills East made off with a 63-41 victory. Considering Half Hollow Hills East has won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Northport lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Campoli. Despite the final result, he rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Giancarlo Valenti was another key contributor, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Half Hollow Hills East's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Northport, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.
