The Omaha Christian Academy Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Heartland Christian on the road to the tune of 66-38. With Omaha Christian Academy ahead 33-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Omaha Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Kade Dejong, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Dejong scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Max Blum, who scored 12 points.
The win got Omaha Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Heartland Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Omaha Christian Academy will challenge Omaha Nation on Tuesday. Heartland Christian on the road again on Monday and play against Cornerstone Christian School on January 29th. Cornerstone Christian School is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
