Basketball Recap: South Park Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

If Cripple Creek-Victor wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played South Park, they should've done a better job of containing Trinity Walker. The South Park Burros blew past the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers 65-13 on Monday thanks in part to Walker, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of South Park's points.

Cali Fogelsonger was another key player, putting up 12 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

South Park is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

South Park will head out to face off against Swallows Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Park's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Swallows Charter Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Cripple Creek-Victor has already played their next contest (against Centennial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
