The Smithfield Sentinels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The game between Smithfield and North Providence wasn't particularly close, with Smithfield falling 27-11. Smithfield lost against North Providence in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 27-3 score last time.
Smithfield has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for North Providence, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Smithfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Providence also has no future games currently scheduled.
