The Gulliver Prep Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over Westminster Christian. The result was nothing new for Gulliver Prep, who have now won four games by 26 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Mikayla Brown, who scored 25 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Caitlen Dauphin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Gulliver Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Westminster Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gulliver Prep will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, Westminster Christian and Florida Christian will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
