It was another big night for Shaniya Paylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Inysia McIver, who posted ten points and six steals.
Meanwhile, North Moore played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 55-29 to Chatham Central. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Defeat or not, North Moore got some senior leadership from Bailea Marley and Calissa Clendenin. Marley had five points and five rebounds, while Clendenin earned eight points in addition to ten boards and three blocks. Clendenin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Southeast Alamance pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.5 points over those games. As for North Moore, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Southeast Alamance hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 61.2 points per game. It's a different story for North Moore, though, as they've been averaging only 25.8 points. The only thing between Southeast Alamance and another offensive beatdown is North Moore. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Southeast Alamance against North Moore in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as the team secured an 82-23 win. In that game, Southeast Alamance amassed a halftime lead of 65-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
