The Kingsway Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 61-54 to McKinley. Kingsway Christian has not had much luck with McKinley recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kingsway Christian's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cole Tapp, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds. Tapp continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Owens, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kingsway Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 28-12 record last season and are now at 1-6. As for McKinley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingsway Christian will take on Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Community and Kingsway Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for McKinley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mineral Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
