Derrick Ferguson Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Southwest's Derrick Ferguson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Ferguson rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Southwest is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. Ferguson and Southwest are on the road again on Thursday to play Doral Academy at 7:00 p.m.

Doral Academy Gets a Boost from Green in 47-28 Win
Darreon Green was a major factor in Doral Academy's win over Spanish River on Friday. Green was dynamite, rushing for 127 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Doral Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. Green and Doral Academy will take on Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Joel Miller Delivers Electric Effort Vs Spanish River
Keeping Green company is Joel Miller, a fellow Doral Academy player. He rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the season, Miller has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 95.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 39.8 rushing yards per game.

On the season, Garcia has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 37.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 6.5 rushing yards per game.

Williams Came Up Big in Southridge's 27-14 Defeat
Rounding off our Top Five is William Williams of Southridge. Williams rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
With the loss, Southridge broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. Williams and Southridge will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.
