They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Angleton was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Texas City only posted four assists.
Several Stingarees players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Fountain, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and four steals. That's the most steals Fountain has posted since back in December of 2024. Tristen Blackmon was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Angleton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-16. As for Texas City, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.
