Rockridge is a perfect 5-0 against Biggsville West Central since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rockets will welcome the Heat at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Biggsville West Central will be up against a hot Rockridge squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Rockets put the hurt on Monmouth-Roseville with a sharp 21-1 win on Monday. The Rockets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Taylor Dieterich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last eight matches. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Stella Riley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Morgan Hofer was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Rockridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Biggsville West Central came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tornadoes a 15-0 shutout.
Biggsville West Central got a massive performance out of Lily Higgins, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Becca Hinshaw, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and four runs.
Rockridge's victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Biggsville West Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Rockridge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Biggsville West Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
