Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kelsey Peterson and Jerrica Thompson

The Classical Academy and Kent Denver squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but The Classical Academy had to settle for second. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kent Denver Sun Devils. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

The Classical Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jerrica Thompson, who posted six points and seven rebounds, and Kelsey Peterson, who had 16 points and seven boards. Thompson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Emma Megahan was another key player, putting up nine points.

The Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Kent Denver, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.
