The Eastern Hancock Royals's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Monroe Central by a score of 41-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastern Hancock also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern Hancock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Halcomb, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Ruble, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
The victory got Eastern Hancock back to even at 6-6. As for Monroe Central, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Hancock will take on Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shenandoah is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Monroe Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackford at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Blackford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
