The Lafayette County Cougars posted their biggest victory since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Oden, posting a 52-18 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Lafayette County as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Lafayette County to victory were Trinity McKinney and JaMaya Davis. McKinney scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Davis scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Savannah Morse, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Lafayette County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Oden, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette County will take on Bradley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Oden, they will head out on the road to square off against Legacy Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Legacy Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Oden has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road.
