The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for The Carmel School in their matchups with Richmond Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Richmond Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Trimble, who scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Kailah Carter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Carmel School's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Richmond Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Carmel School will face off against Grace Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richmond Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Amelia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Amelia Academy and Richmond Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
