The Carmel School Wildcats had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Richmond Christian on the road and fell 64-18. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for The Carmel School in their matchups with Richmond Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Richmond Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Trimble, who scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Kailah Carter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Carmel School's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Richmond Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Carmel School will face off against Grace Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richmond Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Amelia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Amelia Academy and Richmond Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
