The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Saturday Rich East will take on Marion at 2:00 PM. Rich East strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 32.33 points per game.
Rich East won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Kankakee 15-14. The success made it back-to-back wins for Rich East.
As for Marion, it's was a good run, but they finally witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. It was close but no cigar for Marion as they fell 23-26 to Mattoon last Friday. The defeat was a vexing one since Marion were expected to win based on their state ranking.
Rich East's win lifted them to 6-3 while Marion's loss dropped them down to 6-3. We'll see if Rich East can repeat their recent success or if Marion bounce back and reverse their fortune.
