The New Washington Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Crothersville 67-26 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win New Washington has posted since November 2, 2023.
Crothersville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jo jo Clay, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds, and Jazlyn Gibson who scored three points.
New Washington pushed their record up to 9-13 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Crothersville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
New Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crothersville will face off against Shawe Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
