On Friday, Robinson opened the new year with a less-than-successful 62-54 loss to Sunlake.
Despite the loss, Robinson had strong showings from Donevon Kelly, who scored 20 points, and Dylan Russell, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jordan Mickens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sunlake, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robinson will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sickles at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th. Sickles is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Sunlake, they will head out on the road to face off against Fivay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fivay is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
