The Creekview Grizzlies and the Blessed Trinity Titans squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Creekview Grizzlies had to settle for second. The contest between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Creekview falling 24-10. Despite 164 more yards than Blessed Trinity, Creekview couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Roach, who picked up 208 receiving yards and a touchdown. Austin Guest was another key contributor, throwing for 259 yards on 19 of 49 attempts.
Blessed Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmontae Pitts, who rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Zyon Mckenzie also helped out with an impressive 115 receiving yards.
Creekview has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Blessed Trinity, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Creekview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blessed Trinity will face off against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
