Forrest County Agricultural has not had much luck with Lawrence County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Purvis took a serious blow against Columbia on Tuesday, falling 68-30. Purvis was down 55-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Purvis got a solid performance out of Systren Eliza Elenus, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Eliza Elenus has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played.
Forrest County Agricultural's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Purvis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
Forrest County Agricultural was able to grind out a solid victory over Purvis in their previous meeting on Thursday, winning 44-31. Will Forrest County Agricultural repeat their success, or does Purvis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
