Durant came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Northeast Rebels get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Durant's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Northeast, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

Coming up, Durant will host Mediapolis on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
