Spackenkill is 8-2 against Onteora since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spackenkill Spartans will be playing at home against the Onteora Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Spackenkill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Spackenkill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-29 win over Rhinebeck.
Blythe Mcquade and Maryclare Parker-stark were among the main playmakers for Spackenkill as the former scored 16 points along with two steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mcquade has scored at least a third of Spackenkill's points.
Meanwhile, Onteora had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came out on top against Webutuck by a score of 45-32.
The victory got Spackenkill back to even at 4-4. As for Onteora, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Spackenkill didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Onteora in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-32 victory. Will Spackenkill repeat their success, or does Onteora have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
