You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Alice Coyotes's strategy against the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Alice blew Harmony School of Excellence out of the water with a 78-43 final score. With Alice ahead 40-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alice to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calvin Villanueva, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Villanueva is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Rivera, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Alice and bumps their season record up to 21-11. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
Alice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuloso-Midway is coming into the matchup with three straight victories on the road, so Harmony School of Excellence is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
