Aztec had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Shiprock Chieftains. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Reagan Bradshaw made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). Bradshaw was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Cheyenne Yellow was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alexyn Candelaria was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

Aztec pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Shiprock, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aztec will venture away from home to take on Miyamura at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shiprock, they will head out to square off against Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.19 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
