Softball Recap: Credo Sets Scoring Season-High Against Technology

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tomales, Credo was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Technology Titans with a sharp 35-19 victory. The Gryphon's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Credo got a massive performance out of Zoe LaFleur, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. With that strong performance, LaFleur is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Miela Beeton was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

Credo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 26 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 12.6.

With the win, Credo broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11. As for Technology, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Credo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 27-13 victory against Laytonville on the 25th. As for Technology, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-10 defeat against Tomales on the 25th.
