It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Jennings County Panthers had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-38 margin over the Owls. Jennings County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Juliann Woodard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with four steals. Mollie Ernstes was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six assists and three steals.
The victory (which was Jennings County's seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Seymour, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Jennings County is on the road again on Friday and plays the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Jeffersonville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Panthers are ranked seventh). Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
