Basketball Recap: Wylie's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Wylie won the last time they faced Midland and things went their way on Friday too. The Wylie Bulldogs took down the Midland Bulldogs 49-33. Given Wylie's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Midland is ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wylie's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Midland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Wylie will take on Jim Ned in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland and Fort Stockton will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
