Greenwood Wins 18th-Straight Thanks to Kane Archer
Greenwood picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kane Archer. Archer did his part (and then some), throwing for 242 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
Unfortunately for Russellville, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Archer. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Archer saw the Cyclones), he rushed for 175 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes.

Cameron Keller produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Van Buren to the win on Friday. Keller rushed for 214 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Keller might have his next game, a road matchup with Lake Hamilton, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Keller saw the Wolves), he rushed for 117 yards and four touchdowns.

On Friday, Van Buren got the W thanks in part to Hayden Williford playing the best football he has all season. Williford threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
For the year, Williford has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 253.6 passing yards per game.

Lake Hamilton picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Hayden Barton. Southside had no answer to Barton as he rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Barton's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Barton might just drop another big game when he faces off against Van Buren on Friday. Barton rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry the last time he and the Pointers duked it out back in September of 2023.
