Chequamegon will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Stratford at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Chequamegon, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Chequamegon came within a touchdown against Barron last Friday, but wound up with a 13-27 loss.
Meanwhile, Stratford had enough points to win and then some against Antigo last week, winning 28-8.
Stratford's win lifted them to 2-1 while Chequamegon's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Stratford can add another positive mark to their record or if Chequamegon can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Stratford's step.
