When it comes to explaining why Compass Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Thore Lucas. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with three steals. Lucas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Grayson Skimmyhorn was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Melba's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Compass Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
