Sheridan will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Heart Butte at Home Opener at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
After having lost a blowout to Valley Christian in their previous game, Sheridan were happy to find some success last week. Sheridan blew past Lincoln 69-44. Senior Moxon Lee was the offensive standout of the match for Sheridan, as he threw 7 TDs and picked up 109 yards on the ground. In fact, with 13 tackles Lee was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Heart Butte lost to Stanford/Geyser/Denton, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-64.
Sheridan's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Heart Butte's loss dropped them down to 0-3. Heart Butte's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Sheridan defensive front that amassed 5 sacks against Lincoln, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
