It was a proper cat-fight when Monroe City faced off against Bowling Green on Friday. The Monroe City Panthers claimed a resounding 53-22 win over the Bowling Green Bobcats. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.

Bowling Green's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Charlton, who posted five points and six rebounds. Olivia Dawson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Monroe City's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Bowling Green, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Monroe City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-39 win against Hannibal on the 8th. As for Bowling Green, they will be playing at home against Elsberry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
