There's no place like home for the Dawson Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 68-59 win over Wortham on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Dawson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colby Springer, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Springer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Allen, who scored 20 points.
Dawson pushed their record up to 17-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Wortham, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Dawson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bremond at 6:15 p.m. As for Wortham, they will head out on the road to square off against Axtell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Wortham has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
