Basketball Recap: Southern Wells Extends Winning Streak to Four

Southern Wells extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kaylee Davis. The Raiders blew past the Eastbrook Panthers, posting a 60-29 win thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Kyah Thomas, who posted 11 points and six boards. She also put up a block, which was her first of the season.

Eastbrook lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Addison McVicker, who earned nine points and seven rebounds. Alexa Griffin was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.

Southern Wells' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Eastbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Wells will face off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eastbrook, they will welcome Northfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
