The Liberty Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 85-31 loss at the hands of River View. Liberty was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-16.
River View found their leader in underclassman Chasity Kennedy, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kennedy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Blankenship, who scored eight points along with eight assists and five steals.
Liberty dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home. As for River View, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hill will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. River View will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Meadow Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Meadow Bridge is ranked 80th, while River View is ranked 66th).
