The Covenant Christian Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 53-42 win over North Putnam on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Covenant Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexi Daigle, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailee Daigle, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Covenant Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-15. As for North Putnam, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Covenant Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethesda Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bethesda Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for North Putnam, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Owen Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Owen Valley is ranked 321st, while North Putnam is ranked 307th).
