Baseball Recap: Desert View Extends Winning Streak to Three

Desert View barely beat Cienega the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jaguars blew past the Bobcats 10-4 on Friday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Desert View got a great performance from Angel Rodriguez as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Rodriguez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Orlando Pinedo was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Yadier Acu?a, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Desert View, bringing their record up to 14-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Cienega, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Desert View nor Cienega have any future games scheduled.
