They came out on top against Lynchburg HomeSchool by a score of 59-52. That's another feather in the cap for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman Zackary Fitts, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Fitts scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Hatcher, who scored 11 points.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Virginia HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harrisonburg HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Harrisonburg HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Northern Virginia HomeSchool likes a good challenge. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy is ranked 219th, while Lynchburg HomeSchool is ranked 195th).
