In what's become a running theme this season, the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 80-41 win over Bristol at home. The win was nothing new for John F. Kennedy Catholic as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Ava Darney, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Didi Ryan, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Bristol had strong showings from Sammy Mansfield, who scored 18 points along with two steals, and Payton Brook, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Mansfield scored 15 or more points. Lauren Church was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
John F. Kennedy Catholic's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Bristol, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
John F. Kennedy Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Badger is on a seven-game streak of home wins, John F. Kennedy Catholic a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Bristol, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th.
