Weiser hasn't had much luck against Cole Valley Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wolverines will square off against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Weiser came out on top against Fruitland on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 14-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Madi Janicek spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Weiser got a massive performance out of Alyvia Goff, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Goff a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalya Hoobery, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Cole Valley Christian and Homedale, and Cole Valley Christian kept the tradition alive. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 25-5 margin over the Trojans on Monday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Addy Herrera was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Lauren Colson was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Brinkley Lauderdale was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Weiser's record now sits at 19-3. As for Cole Valley Christian, their record is now 20-5.
Weiser suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Cole Valley Christian in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
