While West Point didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Nanih Waiya Warriors with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday. The Green Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

West Point is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Nanih Waiya's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, West Point will be playing in front of their home fans against Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nanih Waiya, they are taking a road trip to challenge Starkville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
