It was a good run, but Cape Fear unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Purnell Swett Rams by a score of 1-0. Cape Fear were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Purnell Swett earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Cape Fear's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-2. As for Purnell Swett, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cape Fear and Purnell Swett will both be playing Seventy-First the next time they take the pitch. The Rams will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Colts will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
