Everything went their way against FAU High as Somerset Academy Key made off with a 76-56 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Nick Achille had a dynamite game for Somerset Academy Key, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds. Achille continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hatem Chehade, who scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, FAU High still got an impressive performance from Samuel Joseph, who scored 25 points. That was a full 44.6% of FAU High's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Chamberlain, who scored 12 points.
Somerset Academy Key's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for FAU High, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy Key won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on January 24th. Somerset Academy Central Miramar is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for FAU High, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Trinity Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Owls have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
