The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs lost against the Red Bank Catholic Caseys back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rumson-Fair Haven took a serious blow against Red Bank Catholic, falling 66-35. Rumson-Fair Haven has struggled against Red Bank Catholic recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Red Bank Catholic to victory were Addy Nyemchek and Katie Liggio. Nyemchek scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals, while Liggio scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Liggio has scored all season. Tessa Liggio was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Rumson-Fair Haven dropped their record down to 9-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Red Bank Catholic, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Rumson-Fair Haven will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Middletown North at 11:30 a.m. Red Bank Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Long Island Lutheran on January 27th. Long Island Lutheran is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
