While Preston's victory against Bear Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Preston narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bear Lake 10-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Conner Thomson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Tate Bassett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory got Preston back to even at 2-2. As for Bear Lake, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston will welcome Malad at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Preston's pitchers better be ready for this one: Malad has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Bear Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Teton at 12:15 p.m. Bear Lake is facing Teton at the right time seeing as Teton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
