Jefferson is 0-10 against White since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jefferson Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the White Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. Jefferson is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Jefferson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Kimball 66-24. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1440th, while Kimball is ranked 277th).
Meanwhile, White had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down Wilson 55-37.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for White, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Jefferson took a serious blow against White in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 96-19. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
